Hi Dave , you can try it on the out side with some scrap boards the same size as your project and use pine plugs, have tried the inside with out much luck !! The only other thing that I have used are biscuits on the 45 degree ends , with glue and use the o size biscuit,s , never had any come apart !!! Mine is a Craftsman not to expensive , and maybe you have a fellow wood worker that has one that you could borrow for your project , hope this helps , JIM !!!
Hi Dave , welcome , if you are going to have the trim on the edges you can drill the pocket hole,s on the out side , and plug them , if you could post a picture that would help , JIM !!
