My 14 year old daughter and I just completed our first DIY woodshop project. We did build the Kreg workbench but have not painted it yet.

Looks like you and your daughter are learning quite rapidly. Your project photo look very good and well planned out. Eric, I'm acquiring tools and a little wood, have yet to cut anything; whoa, I take that back... I used the Kreg jig to repair a sagging sofa. I put some braces on the bottom and walla, no more sag... but I've yet to do a real project and I thouroughly enjoyed reading your experience. Thanks! You were entertaining and very informative. I appreciate all of the tips to newbies like myself.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
