Mine is a 20 year old Makita. Any little bump throws the base out of alignment. Great for rough work, but trying to get accurate cuts, even with a shooter board, is no mean challenge.
There's a reason why great tools cost so much more money.
it gave me a nice excuse for a newer saw and a much lighter one this old guy is a tank lol. ill get around to fixing it up some day.
jason, of course that bent base can be "tweaked back" into place.
Just apply anti-gravity, and the saw will crash in the opposite direction, neutralizing the initial impact!
