Paul I did this on the cheap. The stand or legs I did not build. I work at an old high school/middle school and being the new guy, I was tasked with finding furniture for my office. These are what used to be cubbies on the wall. They were actually 28 inches tall which gave me great height for a desk. The long desk dimension is 36" wide by 96" long. The short side is a simple 24"x48" sheet of plywood. I used birch plywood that I got from lowe's for 43 bucks for a full sheet and 17 for the 2x4 sheet. From there I cut 3 inch supports for underneath. I boxed in both sheets to make sure it was strong. From there I simply used a round over bit on all edges to get it somewhat smooth. In hindsight, I would buy some oak so that I got a cleaner edge that I was better able to route and sand. I will definitely do that next time. I am sort of limited in creativity as I don't have a table saw and my lack of skill saw skills leaves me with curved straight edges.... I used an ebony all in one stain/lacker (sp?) 2 coats did me fine. I want to make legs for it in case I ever have to move it, but not gonna attempt that until I have a table saw. If you have any other questions let me know and I will share my vast 1 project knowledge.... :0) Thanks for the kind words on the work!

Looks great. Do you have plans for it? My wife and I need new computer desks at home and this looks like it would work for us

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
