"Shawn - One reason you cannot find 3/4" coarse thread screws is that they are not offered anywhere. By the time enough bare shank is left to pull the stock together, there is only enough shank left for a turn or two at the coarse pitch."

"I use "fine" thread screws into baltic birch PW. Baltic birch is a "hardwood"."

"Shawn, I believe 3/4 or 1" micro screws, coarse thread, adjust drill stop collar to correct setting using the scale on the jig. Micro plugs also. Good luck. Hope someone else chimes in."
