Edge joining 3/4 inch plywood
2 Replies

I was wondering if you can join 2 panels of 3/4 inch plywood.  If you can, how far apart would you place the screws.  The joint I am thinking of would not have any stress placed on it.  Thanks,LynnContinue

"Thanks Richard.  Do you think there would be any 'bulging' in the plywood where the screws penetrate the plywood edge.  I would think there wouldn't be any in a 3/4 inch plywood board but what do you think?  Lynn  "

"Thanks Brad.  That is exactly what I was hoping to hear.  I wasn't sure if the concealed hinges would be strong enough to carry the weight.  I was also wanting to get the Kreg concealed  hinge jig and was looking for a good…"

"I would use 3 concealed hinges each side, exact type depends if your doors are flush with the outside edge or set into the cabinet?"
