Hello Greg and welcome to the community. Sorry I did not answer your question earlier about the circuit through the shoe. I apparently missed it on my quick browse through the community post and just noticed it today. The answer is yes tou can run as many circuits through the shoe as you can get through it. It is adjustable for frequency of the moving current. The wire circuit through the shoe is the one that triggers the relay to control the dust collector and as long as it senses current flowing it will maintain a magnitic contact through the primary windings of the relay. It has been years since I have researched the sensor switch as if things hold true the norm there has been advances in their functions. You most likely will find more applications from the web by just google in current sensors switches . I can just tell you that this model I have discussed in the article does work and with out any problem in a cabinet shop where it get repeated cycles day after day over the past 15 or so years.
