Great job there. That is a nice piece for sure.

The top is a glue up of 5 psc. I have a Skill router and used a 1/8" radius bit at full speed. Your feed rate along the stock must be just right. practice on scrap first. Aspen is a bit like cherry in that it tend to burn if you go to slow. I have some issues with Aspen however. I chose it overy cherry for its economy, but you get what you pay for. I was not happy with how it took the cherry stain, somewhat irregular. It also tend to fray and get fuzzy with cutting, machining and routing.

Is the top aspen as well? Did you have any problems with routing the top? What type of bit and speed did you use? Sorry to ask so many questions but I am starting an aspen project this weekend, trying not to waste any pieces. I told my wife I was going up the street to buy a piece of Aspen and she insisted on going with me- apparently she misunderstood what I was saying.
