Sorry Derek, when you see the other cabinet you will see I'm not much of a fan of dark stains. Especially on maple.

There is an upper section still to go on, and actually this cabinet is a mate to a larger one I built in the spring. I will post a picture of it for you.

I LOVE the look you've created here. Seems very well balanced. I like the size of the face-frame and the special touch with the fluted columns. Will these just sit on the floor? Will there be anything above them? I think this would look very rich with a darker stain, perfect for a library! Great stuff.
