My daughter asked me to build her a table out of laminated planks Boeing Company used to build containers to ship airplane engine. Had to cross cut and rip planks that were 1.5" thick & 66" long. Selecting the right screw type (course or fine) was challenging as the laminate has both hard and soft woods. The legs I cut from a 4x8" beam that came out of a home remodel. Once I got them cut, I realized they are all vertical grain fir. Beautiful wood! My daughter will sand and finish the project. By the way, that's one heavy table!
