Cookbook stand i made out of scraps of birch ply ,the front is slide out plexiglass .The plexiglass can be moved too the back slots for thin books, and front slots for thicker books.The plexiglass also acts as a screen too protect the books from messy cooks.

Micheal, I don't know how you managed to slip this post by me, but you did. I wanted to comment on it and let you know that I think this is a very fine accessory for the kitchen. It is a great idea with some pretty neat idea of being able to move the plexiglass to accommodate large and small books.
I like the idea as it is another way to use the cut offs and scraps that seem to be ever increasing surplus at my shop. Nice workmanship. Thank you for sharing this one with everyone.
