Hi Albert, I just wanted to say I used your pictures as my own inspiration for my patio herb garden boxes. Thank you for posting and explaining how you shaped the tops, I hope you don't mind I copied you!

hi bill , sure, the main box wood sizes were 3'' x 3/4'' i used furring wood(quite cheap) as ididnt want a planed finish, made to width size to suit yourself, i used 12'' and 24 '' for the longer box. if you want deepr just add another panel , i used combinations of 3 panels for 9'' deep and 4 panels fro 12'' deep, the posts were 2'' x 2'' i ripped those on the table saw for straightness more than anything, saved on sanding too, the profiles were done on the table saw using a 30 degree angle and the slots, depth to suit yourself, mine were 1/8'', hope that suits what you were asking for, about 2 hrs from start to finish, including stain, i used CABOT cedar , good for 5 yrs, oh and the base was 1/4'' exterior plywod also stained heavily for durability............dont forget to stagger the kregg holes on adjoining corners , so the screws miss each other

Can you please let us know the sizes of wood used and boxes?

thankss, easy to build and profiles were easy enough using the 30 degree angle on the table saw blade, made quite a few for friends.
