Pocket Hole Drawer Slide Brackets?

Hello - I have a couple of workbenches in my 'shop' and am contemplating putting 2 or 3 pull out bins on the bottom shelves of both. I've not worked with drawer slides before and am looking to make it simple(r). Thinking of making 2 sets of pocket hole brackets out of 4" wide 3/4" plywood to mount under the drawers (similar to pencil drawer brackets). Thinking 4 inches long (the bottom to bolt onto the shelf) and 3 inches high (onto which to attach the slides). Using 26" Promark full extension slides. Anyone ever try this or have any thoughts regarding odds of success/durability? Seems like a simple solution to a complex problem if I haven't overlooked anything. Thanks in advance for your input.
