Hello,
I'm building a simple stand ... 2x4's for the legs, and apron on all 4 sides that sits below and supports 24' x 20 " x 1" thick top. HD holes and screws hold the angles of the apron and legs together... I'm happy with that. The HD screws are beastly.
Now... I understand that I COULD cut the plywood top to fit inside the of the apron for the top and drill holes all around into each apron side. BUT... I need the 1" top to sit ON TOP of the supporting frame as the 1" contributes to the required height of the project. SO... the holes will be drilled into the 2x4's (underneath and inside) and the screws will go into but not protrude from the 1" top to fix it to the frame.
My question is... what depth to set the kreg jig / drill and what side coarse screw to use ? I understand the process when making a butt joint out of two pieces of wood that are the same thickness, but am unclear what the "work piece" is in my situation ?

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
