Hi Steve, it looks great!  Greater still is spending time with family.  This will be a good memory for you both for a long time.  Johnny B

My daughter found the plans on Anna White and modified them for her requirements. It was an enjoyable weekend spending time with her and teaching her a little about woodworking from what little I know. Sure, we could have made trim for the top but she didn't want that.

Thanks a lot. I did finally find them at Anna Whites. Great site I think I got a lot of work ahead of me.

Hello Scott! The plan is available from Ana-White at

http://www.ana-white.com/2012/08/plans/fancy-hall-tree

Or, simply search for "Ana-White Fancy Hall Tree."  There are several models that may be found, probably one with a bench.  Good Luck!!!  Post pictures!!!

Where did you find plans for this? I'm looking to build one but with a bench with storage.

I wish this picture wasn't so big!  Nevertheless, these are the products I used for the finish of the hall tree.  Sherwin Williams Pro Block Primer is sprayed.  After it is thoroughly dried, usually overnight, it is sanded very smooth with fine sandpaper.  The color application is sprayed with Sherwin Williams enamel, which seems to produce a very satisfactory hard and durable surface.  The HVLP sprayer is a Titan CapSpray model.  A semi-gloss finish was chosen for this hall tree.  I'm not advertising for Sherwin Williams (as if they would want me too!), but this combination of products works well for me so I have stuck with it for numerous projects.  Some day I hope to move up to hardwoods and stains, but I'm not confident with that yet.  Thanks, and happy woodworking!!!

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
