When joining two vertical pieces of 9"x10"x1/2 " plywood to a piece of horizontal 3/4" plywood (long), and each vertical piece is exactly above the other with the horizontal in between. And wanting to join these with pocket hole coming down into the horizontal from the top piece and up from the bottom piece into the horizontal piece and desiring that the pocket holes be on the same side in both vertical pieces...using 1" pocket screws I would assume you place them near the outside edges of the vertical pieces, say a 1/2" in...but then wont they would run into each other. How do you keep pocket screws from interfering with each other when coming into a piece from the top and bottom in almost the same place? Is the only option to alternate the pocket holes in both pieces so their not directly in line with each other?

Keith,

In this application you are correct in that the only way for your screws to not interfere would be to alternate the pocket holes at different spacings.  If you have any other questions please let us know.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
