Kreg Owners' Community

Hello,

First post and I'm glad to be here. I'm building a rectangular collar to convert a chest freezer into a beer keezer. I'm using 2X6 fir for the construction and wish to miter the corners instead of using butt joints. Can I use my Kreg jig to join the mitered corner joints? Think of a 6-inch high sandbox with mitered corners. The outside dimensions of the completed frame will be 27X46 inches. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. I'm new to using the Kreg jig.

Yes, it can be done. I will have to look at my books to see an exact example to post here, though.

I would consider springing for the HD. Although, the regular jig should do. Three pocket joints in the ends and about every 8" along the sides. Also, might consider adding glue to the joints. Have fun!

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
