Attaching corner blocks to a table apron using the Kreg jig?

I have a table to repair with 2 broken corner blocks. They were attached with glue and

staples. I'd like to make new blocks using glue and pocket screws which I believe

would be stronger. The ends of the blocks are mitered and support the table legs. I'm

not sure of the length of screw I should use. Any ideas?  Any help would be greatly

   appreciated.  Thanks, Dale

Can you make a mock-up or use test pieces of the same thickness?

            Thanks for your reply R.E.

Yes I could make a mock-up. That sounds like a good a solution. I'll try it.

            I appreciate your help.  Dale

any time there is doubt if what you want to do might fail use scraps that are equal to the parts in your project, if something goes wrong you havn't lost anything

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
