I've been asked to make a cabinet for a relative with a pull-out shelf for a printer that weighs 20 lbs. If anybody has done anything similar, can you recommend which drawer slides to use please? Not sure if the normal full-extension ones you can buy in the big stores will suit. Thanks.

Andy most of the full extension slides are rated at 100# in the 22 inch of which is most likely the length you would need for a printer. I have done many when building computer desks and I usually build a shallow drawer of about 1 inch high sides to prevent the printer form falling out. When sitting the printer in the drawer pull it ahead enough for the needed space behind the printer and add a stop block to prevent the printer from moving and it is also a good idea to add one to each side. This keeps the printer stationary when opening and closing the drawer.
This might help
Tom I'm guessing but the bottom drawer is where the extra paper is stored nice well though out design.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
