Kreg Owners' Community

I currently (happily) own and use Kreg's precision router table and insert plate with a Porter Cable 7518 router. I wish to select and use a "router lift" in order to adjust my router bit elevation / depth more easily from the top of the table. Can any of you recommend a product or products which might work for me on Kreg's router table? I searched Kreg's website and didn't find a Kreg-based solution. Did I miss it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Check out this company. I've had the chance to use the specific lift in the link below in a friend's woodshop and it was quite impressive. Easy to use and easy to adjust! You might have to do some custom fitting to the table though but it would be well worth it.

Thanks, Justin. I just had a look at the woodpeck company site and the router lift (V2) you suggested. I admit to being impressed, but I'm also a bit snowed by the specifications versus the actual benefits. For example, the micro-adjustment turning wheel sounds good, but will it just get clogged up with chips and wood dust? The Kreg plate locks into the table on four sides with four mounting screws, once leveled by eight adjusting allen screws. The V2 doesn't have the four mounting screws, but seems to be held in place by four side-faced screws which clamp against the table's plate opening. Is this secure and solid? Any recommends or suggestions?
Tony,

Most router lift systems will work just as long as the insert plate is the same as the Kreg one which is 9 1/4" X 11 3/4". I've heard that the woodpecker lift is a really good one to incorporate with the Kreg system. I've also heard rumors that later this year Kreg is planning on releasing their own lift kit to go with this table as well. Not for sure on any dates yet but hopefully before the first of the year.
Thanks, Dan. Once done my homework and listened to all the comments, I'll bite the bullet and purchase a lift. Any knowledge of Grissly's Mast-R-Lift?

I'll be happy to provide feedback in this same forum with the result/s.
No problem Tony. I haven't actually installed one into the table myself nor have I used one for a long period of time. However, the carpenter who introduced me to it swears by it and didn't speak of any problems he had with it. I'll try to chat with him in the not to distant future and ask if he has any complaints about it and then I'll get back to you on that one. I was just impressed when i had the chance to use it a few days in his shop.
Thanks, Justin. Any feedback could be useful to me.
