I am going to begin edge gluing Walnut boards to make a bathroom vanity counter top that will be just shy of 9' long. The bathroom sink will be set into the counter.
Here are my questions:
1. Glue; Would you recommend Titebond II or Titebond III or another glue for the glue ups?
2. Finishing; I read this forum on finishing (http://lumberjocks.com/topics/33759); wondering if you have any other insight?
Thanks!

Hi Stan, since you are building a big walnut glue up for a bath vanity I would choose titebond polyurethane glue. The reason is it is water proof and holds a tight bond when wet. Another thing I like is that it is available in brown which will hide any glue line that gets exposed in the walnut. since your glue up is 9 feet in length it will take some time to get the planks set within the clamps. It has a longer set up time than the regular glue and cures in about 5 to 6 hrs.
Thanks Jay!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue
