Thought I would post my first Kreg project--a shelf that will hold those office boxes for my CPA husband.

The length of your self is that 8 ft or more you may get some bowing in the center. You may want a center support.

The length is slightly less than 7' and we have two supports on the back side of each shelf....with plans to install on the front if needed. Hopefully that is enough. 

That would work by adding front support. Those are 2 x 4 frames cover with 1/4 hardboard?

Yes, they are 2x4s with a hardboard/Masonite cover.

I'm glad to hear that you will be attaching it to the wall. That will help prevent it from racking (shifting or leaning left to right). That should prevent shearing. It looks like a nice piece!

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
