Kreg Owners' Community

I was just wondering if anyone was having the same issues that I am.  I have tried over and over to order accessories like screws and clamps on kregtool.com.  Customer service cant order what i need.  They are limited in what they can order for us.  KregJig.com cant order anything for us other than the jig itself.  I have to say I am more than a little pissed off.  I have called all the #'s that they have gien me and they all seem ignorant as to what I need to do.   PLEASE,  some one help me.  I have lots of furniture ideas, and I cant even build them because I cant get the stuff I need.   I tried kregtool.com but the site will not let me finish the order.  GETTING READY TO THROW SOMETHING!!!!!!!!

Earlier this year I bought a box of 2000 blue-kote 2.5 inch from Amazon for $67.99 with free shipping; that's just over three cents per screw.  At the same time I got a box of 1000 1.25 inch stainless for only $21.00, only two cents apiece.

Buy in quantity and you can save a bundle.

Lowes and Home Depot both have screws.  Lowes has a better selection

I cant speak for the area you are in but the area I am in Home Depot does not really have any screws, just maybe 4-5, they have an off brand pocket hole system they carry more of along with the screws for it... Lowes has a better selection, but nothing larger than a 50ct box. I am not going to pay $6 a box of 50, when I need 250 for the project I am doing and the total would be $30, especially when I can get them online for less than 20 for the quantity.

Yes, the more you buy the less you pay, you were lucky to find the SS at such a good price, I havent looked for them, but while looking for the blues I have skimmed the prices for the SS and they arent cheap... would loved to have gotten 2 1/2 inch SS instead... but just skimming the prices I did not even want to search them out... lol

If you know what you want, try Amazon.com or go to a good hardware store. Lowes and Home Depot won't have what you want. If you are reluctant to order online with a credit card, many local stores sell Amazon Gift Cards which can be used online. I recently bought third party screws made for the Kreg Jig. You need to be sure that the screws are the right strength or the screw may break while the piece is being used. Could cause injuries to someone or at least embarrassment to the person who used the wrong screws.
www.rockler.com has all things wood working, and then some.  Give them a shot. I have never had an issue with them and they have all things Kreg as well.  Lowes carries a few Kreg items as well.

I ordered screws from Lee Valley and I got next day, Try one of their dealers also busy bee tools.

Hey  Lowe's and Home Depot sell them and clamps etc also.
I checked my local lumber yards. I found that I could get them from my local lumber yards that sell Kreg stuff pretty cheaply.  They would also order them  if they don't have them in stock. One of them said they could have my order by next week. So I would if I was you to shop around your area to see if you have a retail seller that sells Kreg stuff.
Go to Rockler you can order anything by Kreg online there. Great service fast shipping.

Have you tried Amazon?   The have many accessories and ship very fast.

Rockler.com has it all
Deep breath my frustrated woodworker in the making.  I have found that Menards and Lowe's carry a pretty good variety of the most common things that are used in furniture making.  I haven't had to order anything online since the original jig purchase and have completed several projects.
