My new saw a Ridgid R4512. made to last runs on 220 or110 volts. My new shop is on its way so my tools will have a home.

What a steal.

Jet 10" pro 1 3/4 hp--what I like is it was FREE! 5+

The house we got has a 20'x24' shop out in the backyard had a Jet tablesaw and Jet 14" bandsaw in it. After the pest inspection, we counter offered if they threw in the saws, we would pay asking price and fix the dryrot ourselves. Cha-Ching! They also left all the workbenches and about $300 of hardwoods and birch plywood.

Craftsman Contractor 10".

Price was excellant and surprisingly accurate.

rating 3.5

I used to work for Sears, the quality has gone down quite a bit. I hope you got a good saw.
I have a jet tabletop saw with legs and both table extensions. It was the most I could afford at the time. I am happy with it. It is accurate with the rip fence, the miter square is a bit funky, but I do most of my cross cuts on my miter saw and use the table saw mostly for ripping. I have ripped 2x4's and the saw has the power to do the job. Crosscutting plywood is done with a circular saw.

I had a major case of saw envy yesterday.  I stopped by a local Habitat ReStore just to poke around.  Right there in front was a Ridgid 4512 priced at $350.  Since I just purchased my Ridgid 4510, specifically for the space-saving features, I really didn't have any reason to oooh and aaah over it - other than that it's a great looking, big saw - and at a fantastic price!  I need to get out to the garage right now and remind myself just how much I love my saw!

I own a crafteman 10" it's about 12 years old. Still works great, however I find myself adjusting the fence quite often

They did stop making that saw.  Saw it a Depot on clearance.  Marble top was interesting.  Tried to convince wife to use as a makeshift island in the kitchen. No dice.
This is my saw of choice.  Great precision for a portable saw.  A very stable base and a wide extension arm for cutting 4x8 sheets.  Quick breakdown and easy to load in & out of my truck. 10 on my scale!

I have a Bosch 4100, the dado inserts, table extension and the Kreg Mitre fence for it as well. Its a 5 for me.

Bosch 4100DG-09 10" Worksite Table Saw with Stand

Also have a 10" Craftsmen Radial Arm saw. This one is a 4 only because of the work to set up.

I am sure your saw was bought new and you were happy with it. The saw at Habitat might not be in perfect condition, people don't let go of their saws unless they are unhappy with them.

I have own a Makita 2708 table saw for at least 20 years. It has performed well with daily use. The only thing i wish this model had was a provision for a vac.

What i like the most about it is it's portability.

I rate it a 5.

Steve: You're right.  Mine is new and I am so happy to have it.

But, those of you looking for a "new-to-you" saw might want to check out these ReStore shops.  I think it's a case of never knowing what they'll have in stock, but in this case, someone will get a great deal on that saw!

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
