I am using Minwax Golden oak stain on my new project.
I am using oak plywood and I am assuming pine 2x3 studs.
The stain makes the plywood the color I want, But is a lot lighter on the studs.
How can I get these 2 woods the same, (or close to), the same color?

Hello Steven . are you sure the studs are pine. Normally pine is soft will soak up stain in a blotchy look and will be darker than the oak plywood. It may be hemlock, spruce or douglas fir which is a harder wood and takes stain some what less that the oak plywood. What I would do is go the a good paint store and have them mix up a small amount to do your project. They will do a special mix of a different stain and can match the stain on the plywood, If possible take a small sample of the stained ply. The other option would be to try mixing your own stain adding a little darker stain. If possible use the same brand name if you are doing your own mix. it can be tough but can be done.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
