I'm needing to build some cabinets for our office and need some ideas. The cabinets won't be attached to the wall but will kind of look like they do, if that makes since. It needs to be 48 to 50 inches long and have adjustable shelves inside, no drawers. Not sure about the doors. Two sets of double doors or maybe three single doors? Plain doors, nothing fancy. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Pictures would be great too. Thanks.

download the wall cabinet plans. they can be adjusted to pretty much any wood project involving cabinetry. i wne the extra step of using pocket holes and glue, but so far it hasnt proven necessary. i use my cabinets to hold tools, and srews and such. as far as the "floating" look, eiter way build up using 2x4's, ND nchor the unit to the wall. hope this helps!
These cabinets will not be hung on the wall, they'll sit on the floor. The top will have to be sturdy enough to hold a printer, repeater, monitor, and such. One end of the cabinet will be next to a file cabinet and a doorway on the other. Not sure which wall cabinet plan your refering to?
I have a similar cabinet project in one of my photo albums. I my case, I used bamboo plywood because it fit with other furniture in our office. And, was very easy to finish for a sophisticated look.

The bamboo approach fits us and likely doesn't fit for you. But, thought you might find it interesting to go and look at. Let me know if I can offer any thoughts.

Since we are putting video/audio equipment in the middle, we left it open. And, those are fixed shelves that are cut 2" shorter in depth to leave a gap for wires and heat at the back. I also cut the back about 4" short in height to leave a gap out the back for cords. Certainly, it could have been done with a cut-out, but I thought this would work nicely with our needs and offer a lot more room than a cut-out (I hate fighting with a hole that's too small).

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
