I live in a very rainy area-ave 85" rain per year. I have built my deck structure out of steel framing but installed redwood decking. I used a plastic clip on the first section of deck but would like to use the Kreg Deck tool. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, the screws for the Kreg Deck Jig are wood screws, and will not be able to drill into the steel framing like you are referring to. If you can find a self-tapping metal screw that would be able to fit through the drill guide to ensure proper alignment, this might work - but it is not recommended, as it has not been tested.

The problem with trying to retrofit the screw with a self tapper it would want to "walk" trying to get it into the steel framing. Looks like it won't work with my application.
