I am having issues cutting cedar plugs, they are too loose, too short and rough. When I read the online advice and forums they suggested using a higher speed drill. I went and got a corded drill to get better speed to cut smoother plugs. I thought this would improve the quality and smoothness of the plugs, but it didn't really make that much difference.
