Hello Ralph,

thanks for your concern, the floods have not directly effected our home/property, however all th residences on the brisbane river were devistated home and industry alike.

Peacock saws who are at West End and are one of my business I use were flooded, they had to relocate their Admin offices to a temporary building higher up.

The saw shop was a mess when I went past. In fact I had a set of planer blades there for sharpening and I thought they wold have been gone. However when i rang them, they asked for a description so they could find them, Fat chance I thought, but sure enough they rang back and said they were ready, amazing so I offered my services (labour) to help clean up anything.

Ralph, Thanks for the nice comment about the chest.  Yes you are right about the cedar smell.  At times it was almost overwhelming.  I viewed your photos and you have some very nice projects also.  I liked the bed headboard.  I also liked your shop tool layout. Looks like you can work pretty comfortable in there.  Looking forward to seeing more project photos from your shop.  Jay Booutwell Salem ,Oregon

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I'am as much of a beginner as you can get. I made the work bench and forgot the kerf of my saw so half my legs and stiles were short lol. Oh well i can atleast say i learned form that. Oh btw my wife loves humming birds and i saw the feeder you made. is that just a 2x4 and is that a pre made hook for it, or is it a wood piece?

hi ralph, thanks for the friends invitation. like the blog on compressor and nailer. i know how you feel about nailers, how did we ever get by without them. i have nailers from a 23 guage pin nailer to a framing nailer. also have coil nailer for shingles and several staplers and a flooring nailer. the staplers are great for attaching luaun backs to projects.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue
