"WOW!  You must not be a "real" woodworker!  (HA!)  There always seems to be room for "ONE" more tool!  (HA!)  I have a 10" table saw, 12" band saw, 12-1/2" planer, 6" joiner, belt…"

"Several years ago I purchased a RIOBI 21" belt sander for less than half the price of the new one.  I have more than gotten my use out of it and still have it and still use it.  A great value for the money."

Dennis Dorries replied to KregRep's discussion 'How do you GLUE?'
"Some of the time.  It always depends on the type and size of the project or - in some instances - how lazy I am at the moment or how much time I have to make the item.  I think common sense is the best approach."

"We should run a contest to see who needed the most pocket screws for their piece. Might be interesting to find out what the top number would be."

Front Porch Bench

I was hired to build a Front Porch Bench for a lady. Her basic requirement was something "ornate" and "different" - something no one else has. I built the bench out of 3/4" solid oak and fastened most of the parts with approximately 100 Kreg screws with the flat rounded head to give it a neat rustic appearance. She was very happy with the outcome. I have posted a photo of the bench which is 48" long.

New to K5 and pocket holes, any video’s on the materials listed below?

I am using Danny Proulx book on shop workstations. I am deciding whether to use MDF or Melamine. He calls for MDF. However; I like the looks of the melamine.  I am a little leery of using pocket holes for it. One of the main reasons is I have no…Continue
