I just used staples to staple the chicken wire to the backside framing. It worked out really well and has help up nicely.

I opted not to go with the cattle panel’s just because they would have been more difficult to work with given the thickness compared to the chicken wire and the sizing wasn’t quite what I needed for my project.

Either way, you could sandwich the panel between some wood too.
