I finally finished! I am calling it "how I spent my summer vacation" Haha! Thanks for the help on the tapered legs and flush cutting those plugs. Not only is the Kreg jig a valued tool, so is the input I get from so many here. Not sure what my next project will be but looking forward to the learning and challenging myself!

Wow amazing work.Very nice table. It is very difficult to imagine a room without a table.Of all the tables the one that gain significance is the side table.A bedroom without this furniture looks incomplete. Side tables can be used as essential furniture or as a decor item in a bedroom. They are great to place in a home or apartment with limited space.

Hi Rita,  I just saw your table.  It looks fabulous!  I'm so proud of you.  you did a great job.  The tapered legs look great.  You are now a furniture maker! Great job! :)

Very nice piece of work. I have to agree about the tapered legs and top really setting the piece off. Great job.

Thanks for the kind words!  I tried various stain colors on a practice piece of oak before deciding on the red oak color stain then topped it off with 3 coats of semi gloss poly.  I had originally planned to distress the black finish paint but was afraid I would screw up my hard work that I decided to quit while I was ahead!   I hope to get another project started soon!

Rita, This is a beautiful piece of work.  You really did a nice job on the total building of a nice piece of furniture.  A great example of a  mission style in black and the top really accents the table.  The tapered legs look nice.  See it was not to hard and it does look like you have mastered the fear of starting something new and large.  Thanks for sharing.

The mission style table is very nice. The table top accents your piece very well.
