This is my nephew's "secret step". I live with tall people so I made the sink a little higher than usual. I had to make this step for the little people. It is rated to 150 lbs. I am 5'2" but I do not need the step. hee hee

My cat which like to drink out of the sink would love the step, great idea for the little ones.  :)

I do know what you mean!  That bubble gum stuff is like concrete!

This is awesome. I needed this idea years ago. Sometimes that strawberry flavored kid's toothpaste just doesn't seem to make the sink at our house :)

Looks great.

That made me laugh! I guess it could be for kneeling to pray also! I will have to try that tonight when I pray that I get all these projects finished!

You might think that, but when I first had this idea mine were toddlers... now they are 14 and 11.  It goes by way too fast my friend!  So my nephew can benefit from it now when he visits. lol

That's a great idea Kim!  I'm putting together plans for a new bathroom vanity and i'll definatly be working this into the sketch.  And with a baby 5 months old, i got all SORTS of time before i need to have it done :)

Thanks!  I got the idea from a kitchen cabinet catalog.  You can purchase a slide out that fits in the 4" space under cabinets that is similar to this.  Being short, I think I will do this in my kitchen at some point.  I am sick of hunting down a stool when I need it.

I drool often over the beaded face frame system!  Please post pictures as you go along.  I have some projects to finish before I can justify spending the $$ on it!  But one day... it will be mine!

great idea wth the step & hidden storage. I've got little people visiting often & could use the idea too. I'm working on a similar vanity & planning on using a beaded face frame.  chance to use the new "Kreg beaded face frame system".  mandodad
