Like Homer Simpson put speed holes into Flanders' car, I guess my jig now has speed holes to go quicker on my jobs. ;-)

No holes in mine, either. I must have a defective jig!!!!! :)

Nope, I don't feel bad at all. I know I could take a framing hammer to this thing and it will keep on making great joinery for me.

Don, if you only knew how many people do this! Don't feel bad, I think it's just a 'right of passage' sort of thing... and it doesn't affect the operation of the Kreg Jig in any way!

The crayon solution looks like a good one!

Maybe KREG should design it with a thicker area there so we could have more to drill into !

LOL yes. It's like the old saying (paraphrased) "95% of Kreg Jig owners have screwed through the base of their jigs. The other 5% are liars."

Haha! The very first hole I drilled went through the base- THEN I figured out the adjustment! I think the only ones without holes are the unused ones!

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
