I like to use the wipe on poly from minwax also. it's so easy to use and it dries fast between coats

I'll keep this in mind However just about everything I build I sell. Now this is different however being it was my  trees that made the furniture.

Jens,

If I were to keep this table outside, I'd seal the wood with ''Penetrol''---

peruse the product specs before proceeding.

I was looking at my stains today and found a Min natural .I keep all my stains in the house overwinter so I don't get a freeze out like I did in past,Ill give it a shot in morning. Do you lacquer over it then or leave alone

Hi Jens, you might want to consider min wax's natural stain. I use it when I want the natural grain to pop out without really changing the color of the wood

Yes it  would be.But as much as I drink I did take that into consideration for weight factor. Been doing some sample stains on same wood today and I dont care for any of them. To dark even Golden Oak.So I think it will be straigt lacquer and lots of it

Jens,

That would be a huge cup

Just so it supports a cup of coffee is all I ask for. Thanks

Jens,

Nice heavy-duty looking bench.
It could support an engine block, during rebuilding.

Ouchie. I wish he would have slabbed more than he did. But life continues down the  road
