Thanks for the kind words Jay. I refer to this as the "Fischer Style". Something off the top of my head that required a minimum amount of capitol. Pine from Home Depot fitted together using a handmade doweling jig. Of course, that required the doweling jig had to made from scrap wood I found laying around in the garage.
Dennis that is how it is supposed to be. Nice looking chest with deep storage area. like the leg design and how it sits up high off the floor. It reminds me of "shaker style". I am so happy that your have joined the community and again have started doing woodwork. I remember the days here in Salem when you were turning out some very nice pieces of woodwork. You have considerable amount of talents. I know I have seen your work in person. When you get set up again with more equiptment you will do well. Here you have built a chest with what I know to be limited amount of tools due to your move, yet you have shared a very nice piece of work. Thank you for sharing and again welcome to the community.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
