Joeseph, I shold have told you.....the hole is centered on the board, and drilled 8 7/8" from the top. The finished product should stand for casual boards 4" at the bottom and 12" at the top where the legs are.....tournament boards are 3" to 12".....they are also cut 23 1/2 x 47 1/2. If you google the American Cornhole Organization they have some good diagrams to go by.
Joseph, I don't have any drawn plans. I start with the plywood. I use 3/4 birch. I cut it into quarter sheets. The measurement usually comes out to 23 7/8 x 48. I then drill the hole with a 6" hole saw. I use a backer board so the bottom side doesn't chip out and I turn my hole saw backwards to avoid ripping the top. I then radius the corners using a dime as a pattern and rout the edges of the board with a slight round over on both top and bottom, as well as the hole top and bottom. I then build the frame. I use 5/4 maple ripped down to 3 1/2 ". I cut the frame so it is approximately 1 1/2" shy of the top. You will need 2 longs and 3 shorts. I then Kreg them all together, using fine 1 1/2 screws for the frame and coarse 1 1/2 screws to connect the top to the frame. The legs are cut from 8/4 Birch. I cut them approximately 14" long, round the tops and cut a 30 degree angle on the bottom. This should give you a little room for adjustment after you finish the board to get the correct height. Since I round all sharp edges off with a sander, when I get ready to put my legs on I measure 2 1/4" from the inside of my frame on the hole end and then measure 1 3/8" from the bottom of the frame to find the center point for my bolts that hold the legs on. Just pay attention that the tops of your legs don't bind on the top and you will be good. I then put the finish on them.....that actually takes me longer that building the dang things. I would like to get to the point where I am spraying them....right now it is a brushed polycrylic finish from the Big Orange that seems to work pretty well. It is just expensive. I have a friend that does hardwood floors that swears by Dura-Seal so I am going to try that on my next batch. If it is going to get a decal on it, I put one coat on, sand, the apply approximately 5 more coats to get a furniture type finish on it.....You can play on them raw.....they are actually much slicker that way. I just like to have mine protected. The bags I usually purchase off of Ebay. I am not a seamster by any means. Then just get your favorite beverage and start throwing!!!!!!
No Shane, sad to say I am not that good with a pen anymore.....years ago I may could have done it, but now I never practice drawing or any artwork for that matter. That my friend is an ebay special decal.
Nice...did you make that stencil yourself?
Yes, and I love to play as well as build them.....we had our family Christmas party yesterday and the cornhole tourney was rained out....what a bummer....we have some good competition every year. We still had a wonderful time. I am looking forward to some break time soon so I can start my humidor!
Tim,
I'm sure many enjoy playing the game, on your custom boards.
Thanks Ken...we love building them!
Nice!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
