No... the entire desk is made of cherry. The only thing that isn't cherry would be the pine stretcher that you see in this photo which holds the drawer slides in place. The different colored cherry you're seeing on the left side is because that's the drawer bank openings for the front of the desk, and I used different pieces joined together to make the openings.
