This bench was built using the Kreg plans, but modified with 2" x 4" lumber throughout, casters and a container shelf. The back has hooks for hanging various wire fencing and garden support fixtures.

Enjoy!

James,

Nothing special.  I used a spray primer and enamel (many cans) which handles the ocassional water spill/overfill.  Further protection is provided by the removeable vinyl on the top and bottom.  The bench also sits on a covered deck and is not used directly in the weather.

Regards,

Matt

Thanks Jim!  Very enjoyable project and so easy with the Kreg jigs.  My wife loves it and uses it all the time.

Best regards,

Matt

My wife has been hinting at one of these. Great job!

Thanks! I enjoyed making it. I think adding 2" x4" cross pieces flat and then pocket hole screwing them to the bottoms may have been a better approach for mounting the casters. I would also find the plastic container first before building the shelf - lessons learned for the next one:)

Love it! Great modification to this project plan! The casters and extra storage are a great add-on option!

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
