I made this for my mother for her apartment. It is a very small place and since the kitchen and living room is all in one room I thought to maximize the living room and to add more counter space and storage space that this would work good. In fact it worked out great. I also made the stools for her bar as well. She has not stop talking about it since I set it up at her apartment. The bar measurements are 36"H x 16"W (Base)24"W (Counter Top) x 48"L. The stools are 25"H seats with half backs on them. I am so proud of this build and loved how it turned out. She has been asking everyone in her apartment building to come and look at it.

Your design has inspired me. I'm borrowing a lot of your ideas for a cabinet that I started. The bead board gives a nice touch and its cost effective too. thanks for sharing.
