Once the assembly was then glued up and finished, it went back onto the shaper/moudner to do all the jointed edges
Hello David,
The edges: Initially cut on a table saw. then with a rounding over profile bit mounted in the shaper/moulder all the non contact edges were formed.
The handle holes: I made the handle template again using my shaper/moulder and with the alignment cut out at the bottom aligned it to the correct position, drew a pencil line to show the cut out section.
Removed the template drilled a hole and jig sawed out the waste leaving about 5 mm inside the line.
Reattached the template aligned it and clamped it to the drawer front. Then using a template router cutter in a trimmer routed out the material tp the template profile.
Next step was to profile the edge again, and hand sand any area needing tidying up.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
