I cut the doors down and then removed the section you see about midway and added it to the bottom using my Kreg Jig.
I used my custom made wooden clamp ands a metal sash to hold everything together before adding the screws. (I initially used a plastic style clamp but it was not capable of apply a decent force.) The recommended 1 1/4 inch screw is shown next to the clamp
