A small section of a piece of QLD Maple with a knot in it.
It had a fairly limited application the way it was so I cut it in half.
Opps this timber may in fact be European/English/Commom Walnut
After seeing the feature that was exposed I decided to butt joint it back together using titebond III.
So, is it a booked matched piece of timber, or simply just butt jointed ?
Either way it will eventually end up as a feature in a Raised Panel door.
Turn it sideways and its a set of spooky Cats eyes?
