I used some plans from Rockler and modified the the bench top with the use of the Kreg jig so it looks like a solide wide piece of oak

Is it a coastal thing to call it that? I've only known them as hall trees. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs on this, but I was curious if "hall tree" is only a midwestern term.
