TILA ,you can be a very proud  parent , teaching your son  about wood working !!!  my grandson  came down yesterday and wanted to build two coat racks for Christmas  to give too two friends.  I offered  to build them for him  , but he wanted to do it himself , so we told him we would supply the tools and some advise  and he drew up the plans and it has been a very long day , but it was well worth it !!! Have a nice holiday and new year  and enjoy working with your son  and keep posting your projects  as I enjoy looking at them  , a job well done , JIM

He thinks he's building a shelf when in reality he's building a memory.

Agreed, I love working with my hand and creating something useful - this will last  so much longer than the texting. He will have nice memories of builing this together. As I have as well. Thanks for your comments!

Tila, This is a perfect photo of a craftsman.  I like to see this as most of the younger generation have no interest in hand crafts of any kind.  If they can't "TEXT" on it they are not interested.  It is nice and refreshing to see that there is still some parents who will take this interest and time to invest into a young man's life to give him something worthwhile that is useful.  The ability to work with the hand is something that is disappearing rapidly and will soon be forgotten unless it is kept alive by the older generation.

I also viewed your cabinet work and it is very nice.  It provides a nice secure to protect and show natures artifacts that is also educational for all.  Thanks for posting.
