Hi Rick. Thanks for the kind words. As far as the router end, I have not purchased the lift yet. I started a discussion some weeks ago to get some input from the other members as to which one to go with. I am going to use the fence from my Rockler router table. I have the miter track but I am going to wait to install that after I buy the lift.

My reasoning for going with melamine MDF is only dur to the fact the lumber yard did not have particle wood style melamine. I went with melamine not only for durability but the material I push through the router will glide much nicer.

I would love to buy a nicer fence from Incra or others but I am running out out of funds for this project. I still need to weld up a steel frame with casters, plumb it up with air from my compressor, and buy another higher HP router and lift. Despite that, it has worked out really well for all of my needs. If you need any additional info, please don't hesitate to ask. Take care.

Evan, your workbench really caught my attention, and have examined every pic.  Great design and execution!

Mind sharing your ideas for the Router end of the top?  Specifically the router insert/lift, the miter track, and the fence?

I'd like to make the top out of Baltic Birch.  Are there factors which make MDF better?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
