Dining table somebody asked me to make. They saw design they liked and we modified it to fit their needs. 9 feet long and 3.5 feet wide top. Top was fixed to base using buttons and slots to allow it to expand and contract without warping on the base.

This one wasn't expandable it was just a fixed length top. Thanks :-)

This is absolutely beautiful!! I have been looking for a means of making a table for my family and the ability to entertain. I would love to know if this is expandable. We are a large family and entertaining requires seating for 12+ people. Rustic and serviceable are what I am looking for. You have me great hope and inspiration!
