Comment by Don Grubish on May 8, 2009 at 7:21am: Sorry, didn't see your post there before. Yes, the pocket holes are all on the inside, filled with Minwax wood filler, and finally sanded flush. There are also pocket holes underneath to secure the sides to the bottom. I got clever and drilled straight-on pocket holes for the head and tail, and filled those with wooden screw caps, to continue on the dragon's bumpy neck and tail. There are also straight-on pocket holes in the centers of the shields to give it that rivet look. Those screw plugs were painted silver using model paint.
