Hi Steve and Steven, ever think about photographing your process of building showing the joinery and method you use. Then add the photos onto a CD and pass these out as a business card. I did this several years ago and about doubled my business in a very short time. My theory was that you can pass along the fact that you are building items for sale by word of mouth, and using a business card. The problem is that most have a hard time passing along your information and a business card just gets tossed around or into the trash and never really tells anyone what you are doing.

With a CD you get attention quickly as most everyone has a computer and in has a hard time not looking at it. Why most people have a desire just to see what is on the CD. This CD then in turn gets passed on to friends and relatives and soon you have a customer list growing. Photos say much more that a business card. There is several inexpensive computer programs out there allowing you to make a musical Cd with your photos and information on it. After I did this I even had area contractors requesting me to make them a CD and the CD sold several Home builds. Just a thought as it worked for me.

Thanks Robert. I appreciate the compliment.  I plan to build more of these in sets. I just signed up to sell on Etsy yesterday.  Hopefully the more items I get out there the better business will pick up. It's always slow this time of year it seems, but tax time is right around the corner.

Thanks alot guys!...Really do appreciate it. I honestly just got back into doing this and I actually surprised myself after all these years.  I have a really small shop 10x16, so I am concentrating on the smaller projects at the moment until I add on or build a bigger shop, then it's on to much bigger projects. The tools take up most of the space, so I have to be careful I don't bump my nose everytime I turn around. The kreg jig sure makes simple work of things though. Thanks Again.
