Wow, Lyle. What a beautiful looking chest of drawers. What a good eye on making the drawers "pop". It really catches your eye and you found some great wood patterns in the grain to help with the "wow" factor you really wanted. Great job.

This is excellent.A wooden chest of drawers, if made well, can be reasonably expected to last hundreds of years. That sounds like a much better investment than buying something for half the price, which will last for a much shorter time.

Lyle, this is what I call a jewel of a chest, beautiful work with exciting grain colors.  Hickory is one of my favorite woods to build furniture and cabinets out of.  The reason is the striking colors you find in calico hickory.  Very nice craftsmanship and design.  Thanks for sharing.
